Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands and, as a student city, has plenty going on of an evening. Even so, visitors from Nijmegen regularly choose Angels in Zwolle — not because there's nothing closer to home, but because an evening just outside your own student and social circle feels different. And at under ninety minutes' drive, that distance is easily covered.
Think of it like the Vierdaagse: people from Nijmegen will happily cover some ground when it's worth it. Here, though, there's no walking required — a short drive on the motorway is all it takes to reach the Kalverstraat in Zwolle, a building that's been fully renovated and kept spotless down to the last detail.
